Mr Khitab Gul Orakzai hails from Kurram Agency, FATA and was born on January 1, 1983. He did his bachelor’s degree in political science and Pashto, and then went on to complete his MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University in 2007. In March 2009, he participated in a Pak-Afghan dialogue held in Islamabad. Mr Orakzai has undertaken research work in organizations such as SASSI and CRSS, focusing on a range of urgent national issues including Pak-Afghan relations, FATA, sectarianism, terrorism, China and democratization. His principle political concern is the poor development in his local constituency of NA-38, where he is currently leading an indigenous platform to highlight the problem.

Politically, Khitab Gul was affiliated with Blue Party and during this term, he served as the Chairman Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs & Defence
