Mr. Shamas ur Rehman Alvi was born on September 01, 1985 and hails from Karachi. He studied at Karachi Grammar School and St. Patrick's High School before proceeding to the United States to complete his higher education at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. At the age of sixteen, he was selected for an internship at the United Nations Global Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya where he worked closely with the Under Secretary General and various other important dignitaries in reforming Environmental Policies. Mr. Alvi was selected to represent Pakistan at the UN water conference hosted in Dubna, Russia. At Northwestern, he became the first Pakistani to be elected to the Associated Student Government (ASG), where he legislated and proposed various bills for his constituents. Mr. Alvi has worked for various Government and Non-Profit organizations such as Ministry of Finance, Chief Secretariat Office, The Citizens Foundations and Behbud. After a brief stint as an Investment Banker in the United States, he is currently working with his father in Karachi. |
