Mr. Zulqarnain Haider hails from Multan and was born on April 5, 1988. Currently studying at University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, he holds a distinguished record as a student at both the matriculation and intermediate stages of his studies. In 2004, he secured second position nationally in his matriculation exams and in 2006, secured first position in the pre-engineering group of the Multan Board. Mr. Haider's leadership roles include his two-year presidency of the school's literary and debating society, and his executive membership of UET's debating society.

Politically, Zulqarnain Haider was affiliated with Blue Party and during this term, he served as the Youth Minister for Education, Health & Environment for the period of November 8, 2009 to May 29, 2010
