“Ms. Zile Huma (YP13-PUNJAB13) invites the attention of Honorable Speaker to the unfortunate incident of violence in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on the issue of increased transport fares. This House strongly condemns this incident and use of force by both sides”.

 
       
   

RESOLUTIONS

 
       
  3.

Syed Manzoor Shah (YP04-BALOCHISTAN03) and Mr. Muhammad Kamil Quddus (YP22-PUNJAB04) move the following resolution:

"This house is the opinion that the government agreed to purchase rental power plants with an exchange of millions of dollars to overcome the electric crisis for short future. For equating the expenses there has been an increment of around 44% in the bills actually imposed over a common man. The house suggests abolishing this concept immediately and formulating long term projects utilizing national resources".

 
       
  4.

Ms. Mahrukh Ayesha Ali (YP18-NWFP07) to move the following resolution:

"This House is of the opinion that immediate measures should be taken by the government for protection and rehabilitation of street children. The Neglected Children Act and National Child Protection Bill should be passed and come into force immediately and Child Protection Courts should be established immediately to prevent against physical, sexual and emotional violence against children”.

Ms. Anam Javed Cheema (YP29-PUNJAB11) to move the following resolution:

“This house is of the opinion that Virtual universities should be set up country wide to promote quality education”.

Mr. Hammal Muneer Jan (YP03BALOCHISTAN02), Mr Imtiaz Ali Khuro (YP46-SINDH09) and Ms. Gul Andaam Orakzai (YP10-ICT03) invites the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister on the serious concern over the degradation of the Indus Delta and the loss of fertile land and Mangroves due to water shortage and sea erosion. At least minimum amount of 10 MAF (Million Acre Feet) of water should be released downstream Kotri Barrage annually for the protection of the fragile eco-system of the region”.

 
       
  3.

Ms. Anam Javed Cheema (YP29-PUNJAB11), Muneeb Afzal (YP09-ICT02) and Syeda Rabab Zehra Naqvi (YP41-SINDH04) invites the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister towards the MOU signed between Pakistan and Iran on providing electricity to Pakistan. The government should consider buying electricity from Iran on priority basis, as it is the need of the hour.

Ms. Anam Javeed Cheema (YP29-PUNJAB11), Hassan Javed Khan (YP39-SINDH02) and Mr.  Shamas ur Rehman Alvi (YP48-SINDH11) invites the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister of the recent arrest of DG FIA. The house highly commends the bold steps taken by the judiciary against one of the beneficiaries of NRO.

Ms. Maria Fayyaz (YP32-PUNJAB14) and Mr. Hassan Javed Khan (YP39-SINDH02) to move the following resolution:

“The house is of the opinion that the water dispute among the provinces of Pakistan should be resolved immediately by dealing it not as a provincial politics based but as a state based national crisis”.

Mr. Prem Chand (YP38-SINDH01), Mr. Hassan Tasneem Ahmed (YP26-PUNJAB08) and Mr. Hannan Ali Abbasi (YP15-NWFP04) to move the following resolution:

"This house is of the opinion that government should take steps to promotion of Irrigation system (Drip & sprinkler irrigation) to small land holders & facilitate them it can helpful for saving water in present crisis & it is also helpful for more product & reduce expenditures”.

“Pakistan is facing problems with India on Water Issues. India has already constructed 62 dams on our rivers which is source of contention between both countries. The government should highlight this issue at all internationhal forums.

Ms. Mahrukh Ayesha Ali(YP18-NWFP07), Nabeeha Mohyuddin(Y12-NWFP01), Mr. Muhammad Saleem(YP19-PUNJAB01) and Mr. Ehsen Naveed Irfan (YP13-NWFP02) invites the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister on the unfortunate death of a student of UET leading to riots and closing of the institution for five weeks. The house calls for the perpetrators to be punished and the rule of law to be maintained in student union activities.

Ms. Fatima Salim Khwaja (YP33-PUNJAB15) call the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister to the menace of acid attack violence practiced in Pakistan which goes unnoticed and unchallenged. The government should strengthen its control over sale of acids and assist in the rehabilitation of attack survivors.

Mr. Bilal Jamaee (YP44-SINDH07), Mr Imtiaz Ali Khuro (YP46-SINDH09), Mr. Arsalan Ahmed (YP42-SINDH05) and Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Zalmay (YP16-NWFP05) call the attention of the Hounourable Minister of Education that students are being exploited by the poor policies and the corruption of board of intermediate and secondary education Karachi.

“This house is of the opinion that Pakistan is facing problems with India on water issues. India is constructing 62 dams on rivers allocated to Pakistan, which is a source of contention between  both the countries. The government should highlight this issue at all international forums”.

Ms. Syeda Rabab Zehra Naqvi (YP41-SINDH04) and Mr. Owais Bin Laiq (YP45-SINDH08) to move the following resolution:

“This house is of the opinion that the government should take practical steps to encourage SMEs in the country since they generate employment and are a source of economic growth in any developing country.”

"This house is of the opinion that effective measures for social welfare security be devised and revisions offered in the existing setup to further the cause of poverty alleviation”.

“This house is of the opinion that the commission for consumer rights is ineffective in couping with the issues of Inflation and Poverty. The commission should be reconstituted with special focus on the awareness of consumers as pertaining to their rights.”

Mr. Hannan Ali Abbasi (YP15-NWFP04) Asbah Rahman(YP31-PUNJAB12) and Waqas Nazar Tiwana (YP21-Punjab03), members put forward the following resolution:

“This house is of the opinion that the exchange of skilled and un-skilled personnel be increased with allies of Pakistan with particular emphasis on the Gulf States also that a National Outreach Programme be initiated that would provide graduates with internships in their own constituencies.”

Ms. Ayesha Bilal(YP27-PUNJAB09), Ms. Fatima Salim Khawaja (YP33-PUNJAB15) and Ms. Nabeeha Mohyuddin (YP12-NWFP01) to move the following resolution:

“This house is of the opinion that public private partnership in the education sector should be encouraged in order to improve the standard of education in the public sector and reduce the difference between public and private institutes without putting any operational or curriculum limitations on private educational systems”.

Ms. Anam Javeed Cheema(YP29-PUNJAB11) and Ms. Gul Andaam Orakzai (YP10-ICT03) to move the following resolution:

“This House is of the opinion that GOP must introduce laws with the aim at creating a labour/employee protection scheme for minimum wages, working hours limitations, child care leaves, health benefits, insurance, work at home facilities as well as encouraging an equal participation of women in the work force.

Mr. Rana Amaar Faruq (YP10-ICT01), Mr. Ehsen Naveed Irfan (YP13-NWFP02) and Mr. Muhammad Saleem (YP19-PUNJAB01) invites the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister to the dictatorial injustices committed through arbitrary  detentions and extra judicial kidnappings under the guise at the war on terror and its continuance under the democratic regime by refusing access to justice to the families in violation of the rule of law by handing the reins of the proceedings  to a judicial commission.

Mr. Hannan Ali Abbasi (YP15-NWFP04) and Mr. Ehsen Naveed Irfan (YP13-NWFP02) invites the attention of the honourable Prime Minister regarding the need for referendum on renaming of NWFP. This name is debatable and has raised serious grievances amongst one crore.
