Youth Parliament Delegation visits Jang Group and Geo TV Offices in London |

London, July 9; Members of the Youth Parliament delegation, currently on a Study Visit to UK, visited the offices of the Jang Group and Geo in London yesterday upon the invitation of the Jang Group. The delegation shared their experiences of the Study Visit with the key team of the Jang and Geo group and answered questions about the objective of the Youth Parliament visit to UK as well as the mandate and role of the Youth Parliament Pakistan. The delegation that visited the offices upon the invitation of Mr. Baseem Baig Chaghtai, Director Operations International Division, also met with Mr. Murtaza Ali Shah, Assistant Editor, and other senior colleagues at the Jang offices. The delegation was hosted warmly and discussed in detail the issues and problems facing Pakistan today, as well as the issues faced by the Pakistani community or Pakistani-origin British Youth in UK. An eight member Youth Parliament Pakistan delegation is currently on a Study Visit to the UK. The Youth Parliament Pakistan (www.youthparliament.pk) is a project by PILDAT (www.pildat.org) to involve and engage the youth of Pakistan in the values of politics and democracy in the country. |
