August 20: PILDAT has published a Background Paper on More Effective Right to Information Legislation in Pakistan, providing relevant background knowledge on Right to Information (RTI) legislation from an international and regional perspective. The paper highlights key issues and constraints in the enactment and implementation of modern and progressive RTI laws at the Centre and in the Provinces.
