April 21; PILDAT has condemned the attack on Mr. Hamid Mir, terming it both unfortunate and alarming. The attack, once again, highlights the worsening grip of the State on law and order and brings to the fore the critical requirement of the State fulfilling its responsibility to protect the safety and well-being of all citizens.

PILDAT appreciated the announcement by the Federal Government to propose a Judicial Inquiry into the attack. Until the inquiry is complete, running a campaign against and casting aspersions on State Institutions is not only unfortunate and unwarranted but irresponsible also, said the PILDAT Statement.
